From the temples of Karnataka, the scenic beauty of Kerala to the heritage buildings of Tamil Nadu that speak for themselves, southern India can be infectious to your soul.
The traditions and varied cultures will never fail to get you awestruck. This along with the scenic beauty makes India one of the must-go vacation spots on your bucket list.
Also, the variety of cuisines add a special delight.

The sea food of Kerala, spices of Andhra, tea from the Nilgiris – every city of the Southern India has a lot to offer to your taste buds.

Daily program

We will be receiving you at Bangalore Airport. We will be heading towards Hassan which is home to the 15th Century Chennakeshwara and Hoysaleshwara temples – the landmark of architecture with sculptures of gods, animals and danseuses.
We shall stay here for 2 nights.
Don’t forget to take a walk through the village with our driver in the evening.

The two small yet beautiful temples are located in Belur and Halebid which are heritage towns of the state. You will see places that reveals the artistry of Indian builders and the mastery of temple builders of yore.

After having a great breakfast from Hassan, we shall take a 4 hour drive to Mysore. On the way we shall visit the Shravanabelagola Jain temple – after all, nothing is as peaceful as a Jain temple.
Also, we shall visit the Indragiri hills – on one of the hills you will be amazed by the monolithic statue of a naked male figure, Gomateshwara which is one of the largest free standing sculptures of India.
We shall head to Mysore and stay there for the next 2 nights.
In the evening we will visit the Devaraja Market.
This heritage market of Mysore has no cold-storage concept. All the fruits and vegetables you find here are fresh from the farm.

Too much on the list today!
We shall start off, by visiting the Mysore Palace – A kaleidoscope of stained glass, mirrors and gaudy colours.
We shall also visit the Chamundi hill and the famous Nandi Bull.

Tipu Sultan – Oh! Who hasn’t heard of him, we shall visit his summer Palace and fort.
Also Mysore, the capital city of the Wodeyar Dynasty has always enchanted its admirers with its quaint charm, rich heritage, magnificent palaces, beautifully laid-out gardens, imposing buildings, broad shady avenues, and sacred temples. The rich heritage, quaint charm and the beauty – there is something about the city that leaves no one untouched.

We will be taking a five hour drive to the Highest hill station of Kerala.
The second half of the drive will be through the wildlife sanctuary Bandipur or Nagarhole National Parks.
Stay awake to spot some animals.

We will be staying in Wayanad for the next 2 nights.

We will be spending the whole day sightseeing Wayanad with our driver. Wayanad nestled in the mountains of the Western Ghats, has a lot to offer to your soul.

The morning after breakfast, we shall head to Calicut(3 hours) – the city in the Malabar coast where Vasco da Gama first landed in India. Calicut was once dubbed the “City of Spices” for its role as the major trading point of eastern spices.

Stay in Hotel for the night

Upon arrival after the 5 hour drive, we shall take you to Fort Cochin. Yes, Ernakulam is a bustling city, but Fort Cochin is home to some great European architecture.
Fort Cochin and Mattancherry has preserved the wealthy early colonial architecture of the Dutch, Portuguese and British era’s.
We’ll be halting in this beautiful city that speaks art for two nights.

After grabbing some scrumptious breakfast we shall set out for sightseeing. The St. Francis church and the outstanding wood roofed Dutch palace architecture is going to leave you amazed.

Oh how can you miss Kathakali? The most known art forms of Kerala, we are sure this would be an absolute delight to your eyes.
In the evening enjoy Kathakali dance performance which is for about 2 and a half hours, with an hour of make-up, a short introduction about the dance and an hour of dance performance.

It’s a four hour ride to the famous Periyar wildlife sanctuary. The Periyar wildlife Sanctuary, situated on the banks of the Periyar Lake, is spread across 777 sq km, of which 360 sq km is the thick evergreen forest.

The travel through the ghats is exhilarating.
We shall be staying here for 2 nights and do something exciting.

In the Evening enjoy martial arts show in a nearby theatre.

Who wouldn’t love to watch and photograph the wild elephants in close quarters?
Also, this reserve is a repository on endemic and endangered flora and fauna.
Later, we shall be visiting the spice plantation, where you can see the locally grown spices like cinnamon, cardamom, pepper etc. This seems new to you? We have a person to explain to you about the whole process.

Get back and try planting some in your kitchen garden.

Always heard of the houseboats of Kerala? We know you are desperate. We shall start with a 4 hour early morning drive to Alleppey.

Your taste buds are going to thank you for the delicacies you’ll be tasting in the cruise. We shall spend the whole day and night in the houseboat, taking a close look the rural lives of the people in Kerala. We shall visit the famous temples and churches, stop to see the paddy cultivation and also watch the local fishing.
With delicious food and waterways, this is going to be the most memorable part of the trip.

After a great breakfast we will be dropped off at boat jetty, From here we’ll be heading to Mararikulam – one hour by road. This place is a beach village in Alappuzha. Also, this is rated one of the world’s top five hammock beaches in a survey conducted by National Geographic.
We’ll be halting here for the next 2 nights

Do we need an itinerary for a beach place? All we want is to look around, play in the water and have some leisure time, ain’t it? Well we have the whole day for it.
What a great way to end the trip.

Like all good things, your tour in Kerala comes to an end but you will always carry memories of this unique and unforgettable holiday experience. Today you will be assisted and transferred (2.5 Hrs) to Cochin International Airport to connect your flight home.
